1. Prepare HS and MS overdue reports every two weeks. Run the report on Monday morning. Prepare the overdue list for the middle and high school administrative assistants. Send them the list prior to 2:00 pm, so they can post the list in the next day’s Daily Bulletin. Write each student on overdue list an email letting them know they have overdue books or, that their account is frozen. Email the student through the wbaislibrary Squirrel Mail account.
2. Twice a month prepare an ES overdue list for students with books overdue over 1 month. Email the parent to assist in ensuring the book gets returned to the library. If no response is received from the parent via email, contact the parent by phone.
3. Magazine follow-up: Review Excel spreadsheet for all magazines and professional magazines. Contact the supplier if issues are not being received.
4. Magazines: Prepare and weed out magazines that are more than 2 years old from our collection. Magazines such as People, Economist, Time, Newsweek, we can really keep only the current 11 or 12 months. Not necessary to keep such dated magazines. Titles such as Real Simple, Psychology Today, Ms., Archaeology, Seventeen, keep in a special place for classroom use.
